My best friend keeps telling me not to be friends with this guy who said he loves me deeply. The guy said that he is over it and just wants to be good friends because he doesnt want to lose me at least in that way. He told me to trust him and that all he ever wants now is just to be friends. But my guy friend is telling me that he is lying and that any minute I let my gaurd down that guy will pounce. He told me to be careful with him and that he is lying and doesnt want to be friends he just plainly wants me. My friend was so adament that now I am not sure. I know that the guy still has feelings for me but he treats me with the utmost respect but I have had my doubts because when we were just hanging he did take the opportunity and kiss me on the cheek, which he says is nothing but something he constantly does with friends. Is it possible that he could just want to be my friend and I and my guy friend are taking this to the extreme? And what is my friend scared the guy will do?
